How do I know the anxiety and dread that I felt when I went through the DNOS on the twin flame journey, is mine or hers? It just comes out of nowhere at times, I go from a feeling of surrender to a DNOS state.

I think I know what you mean by anxiety and dread. I have been on this Twin Flame journey for over four years. I still randomly feel unexplained anxiety that is not particularly mine. It never used to happen to me until I met him.

I feel like this is part of the spiritual aspect of the twin flame experiences that is challenging to explain to a non-twin flame.

It is such an overwhelming feeling when you channel anxiety that is not yours. You cannot control the intensity of your emotions. You feel instantly rattled up without a direct cause.

For me, when it’s my anxiety— it is easy to calm myself down. I easily figure out a solution because I can easily tell the trigger. When it’s my Twin Flame, it is such a restless feeling. Sometimes it quickly passes and other times, it lingers on. If it persists I feel endless desolation. I feel in purgatory. Usually, I just let all the alien feelings pass through me.

Does the Runner feel how you Feel? Does he miss you as much as you miss him?

No matter how much I stressed him out with my chasing, I didn’t doubt his love for me. I could feel him pull me into the connection all the time which compelled me to chase him further.

I was new to the Twin Flame experience and I did not realize that my behaviors were part of the running and chasing phase.

There are times when I stopped chasing him and he would pop back into my life by liking one of my social media posts or he could call my housemate and he would stay on the phone asking about details of my life. This would trigger me into another phase of chasing him back.

Even though my Twin Flame would rarely talk to me, I never doubted that he loves me. I always had the affirmation that no matter what strange thing I do or say, he knows my soul.

How do I stop feeling powerless in my twin flame journey? I’ve tried everything in my power to let go, move on, shift the focus on myself, acceptance, But after a short time, my body will go into a full panic (Heart and chest ache) until I check.

I know the energetic pull very well. It is more of a compulsion. I have been there many many times. Sometimes I would distract myself all day with all sorts of activities but then find myself pulled into thinking of him. Sometimes I would see something that reminded me of a memory of him.

I forced myself to surrender many times but I always felt as if I was running from myself. It felt as if I was blocking the connection.

Surrendering to self-love is not easy either. It is very challenging to grow the emotional muscle to focus on yourself when your Twin Flame is on your mind 24/7. Sometimes you live in a life situation where you don’t have enough time to focus on yourself. You could have children to take care of and support. You could be very busy at work all week.

I know this sounds like a cliché but no one will save you from feeling like this. Sometimes meeting a Twin Flame feels like an eternal curse. There is nothing you can do to change the nature of your bond. You are connected forever.

These simple tips helped me to stop feeling powerless:

  • Sit with your pain

Do not hide from it. Do not judge yourself for feeling it. Let it pass through Ulysses by accepting how you feel. Do not put up any resistance to it.

Suffering from your fears and insecurities is what allows you to build courage and perseverance.

Everything worthwhile in life is won through surmounting the associated negative experience. Any attempts to escape the negative, to avoid it or squash it or silence it, only backfire. The avoidance of suffering is a form of suffering. The avoidance of struggle is struggled. The denial of failure is a failure. Hiding what is shameful is itself a form of shame.

To achieve healing is to water down life’s most terrifying and difficult challenges and still take action.

  • Have a Positive Focus

You have to learn how to focus and prioritize your thoughts effectively. Learn how to pick and choose what does and what does not matter to you by honoring your choices and preferences. You have finely honed personal values to achieve results.

It takes a lifetime of practice and declines to achieve the results. You will regularly fail. But it is perhaps the most worthy struggle one can undertake in one’s life.

When you are struggling, you will see every adversity as an injustice, every challenge as a failure, every inconvenience as a personal slight, and every disagreement as a betrayal. You will be confined to your own petty, skull-sized hell. Burning with entitlement and bluster. Running in circles in circles of your feedback loop from hell. In constant motion yet arriving nowhere.

  • Be comfortable with being different

The journey always goes on. Then you hide your emotional pain, and you create a world of despair. You feel indifferent to the world and yourself. You hide in a gray, emotionless pit of your own making. You always feel self-pity perpetually distracting yourself from living life to the fullest.

Rejection from twin flames is to be embraced by letting go by loving our own self. But what about other relationships like spouses kids parents friends, jobs & the rejections we face in our daily life, should we just ignore, let go & forgive?

If you have buried within you feelings of anger, fear, resentment, and past hurts, you feel like you have an anchor weighing you down.

Forgiveness is the best way to release any anchors that are holding you down. Forgiveness can also release you from physical ailments.

When you release past pain and negativity, you live a natural state of hope and joy in the present.

When you hold a grudge against someone, you usually fail to communicate your feelings to the person. If you do not forgive, it is challenging to move past the point of anger or pain after feeling hurt.

It is also very uncomfortable to feel at ease or trust the person with whom you had an angry confrontation. When you express your feelings and find forgiveness, it recaptures your natural state.

Forgiveness allows you to move through the negative emotions to release them. When you have released all the negative emotions, you return to a state of love and acceptance.

Forgiveness also releases your flow of joy and creativity. There are many ways you can express your truth and anger. The goal is to move towards forgiveness and love.

Why do some people believe that the twin flame runner is a necessary part of the journey?

When the running and chasing cycle begins, you feel as if your heart is tearing into two. You constantly crave to be in his or her presence. You don’t know how to fill the void that follows the emotional desolation.

Whenever you try to reach out to the runner to have closure as the chaser, the further he or she runs from you.

The running phase is necessary because it pushed the chaser counterpart to dig deeper within themselves to figure out why they have the obsessive need to keep chasing. Your behaviors frustrate you as well because you don’t like keeping your twin flame uncomfortable. You want to find inner peace. You feel exhausted from chasing.

When the chaser reaches the exhaustion phase, he or she surrenders to what is. You choose to focus on healing yourself because your runner’s behaviors triggered you to look for happiness within yourself.

You, later on, realize that if you hadn’t been ignored or ghosted, you would never have grown the emotional muscle to stay grounded within yourself— to stay happy without needing anyone. You created an authentic life without the presence of your twin flame.

In simple words, twin flames are mirrors of each other; he or she shows you what you need to work on and your connection inspires you to stay motivated to keep working on yourself.
